Important DEADLINE for COVID test kits

Baylor Students and Parents:

You should have received an email Tuesday evening detailing the urgency of receiving and completing your COVID-19 test kits in preparation for the fall semester. Ensuring every student confirms a negative test before returning to our campus is a key strategy in allowing a successful in-person start and completion of our fall semester.

It is imperative that you verify your “Test Kit Address” in BearWeb by midnight CST tonight, July 29. There is a step-by-step instructional video of how to change your mailing address in BearWeb at www.baylor.edu/registrar/AddressUpdate.

If you will live on campus: enter the best address for where you will be between Aug. 4 to Aug. 7.

If you will live off campus: enter the best address for where you will be between Aug. 11 to Aug. 14.

Note: The following students will have a separate testing protocol: Community Leaders, Golden Wave members, Louise Herrington School of Nursing students, student-athletes, and student volunteers who live off-campus.

As you receive your COVID-19 test kits, you will need to immediately complete and return the sample on the same day of its arrival to ensure a timely and accurate test result.

Testing is just one of the many safety precautions and measures we are taking to keep our Baylor Family healthy and safe, as well as Waco – there will be 17,000 students soon arriving from across the country and around the world for the start of the fall semester.

We want to be good stewards and neighbors in our community, and that starts with the immediate return of your COVID-19 test kits. Aug. 24 is rapidly approaching, and I ask that you keep our entire Baylor Family in your daily thoughts and prayers as we continue to strive and work toward a successful and healthy fall semester.
