Baylor Students, Faculty and Staff:

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." – John 8:12b

We are blessed to study, teach, research and serve at a university where we can say "Merry Christmas" and celebrate the true meaning of the season. Let us proclaim and share the birth and ultimate gift of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

As I looked out across the stillness of our beautiful campus this morning, I reflected on the distinct role that Baylor serves as a light in higher education and the opportunity that lies ahead as we collectively chart our path toward preeminence as a Christian research university. I truly appreciate your many contributions as part of the Baylor Family.

Blessings and peace as we experience Christmas with family and friends, and I look forward to writing to you again in the New Year.

Have a safe and joyous holiday!
