Organizational Change in Administration

August 23, 2017

Dear Faculty and Staff:

After 17 years of serving Baylor in a variety of senior administrative roles, Dr. Reagan Ramsower will transition out of his current position as the University’s senior vice president and chief operating officer at the end of this fiscal year (May 31, 2018).

I appreciate Dr. Ramsower’s leadership and deep calling for the University, particularly over the past two years. Dr. Ramsower currently oversees many administrative areas of Baylor, such as budget planning and financial operations, investments and endowment, undergraduate admissions, information systems, human resources, facilities, the campus master plan and campus safety. He has played an integral role in Baylor’s growth in many areas over the past decade as the campus expanded significantly in terms of both population, physical space and buildings, as well as in increasing Baylor’s engagement with the Waco community.

A Baylor graduate (B.B.A. ’74 and M.S. ’76), Dr. Ramsower joined the University faculty in 1983, rising to the rank of full professor and as an administrator in the Hankamer School of Business before moving to the University level in 2000. Dr. Ramsower has received a variety of significant honors, such as Outstanding Baylor Professor and Outstanding Baylor Alumnus.

A member of the First Families of Baylor, all the generations of Dr. Ramsower’s family have attended the University since Ethel Lattimore Higginbotham, who was among the first class of women at Baylor. Dr. Ramsower will continue to serve Baylor as a full professor in the Hankamer School of Business.

Please join me in thanking Dr. Ramsower for his tremendous service to Baylor as part of the University’s administrative leadership. I look forward to continuing to work with him in the coming years.

Sincerely,

Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D.
President
