Shane entered the Political Science department at Baylor University in the fall of 2020. An Upstate New York native, he received his B.S. in Political Science from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2019, graduating cum laude. Before joining the department, Shane returned home and worked as the Community Relations Director for the 121st NYS Assembly district. His research interests include ancient political thought, international relations, and international law. Shane is particularly interested in developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between hegemony and international law. Broadly, he wishes to explore the tension between freedom and justice in the international system.
