Matthew entered the PhD program at Baylor University in the fall of 2018. In the spring semester of 2017, he studied French in Paris through the IES Abroad French Studies Program. In the summer of 2017, he received grants from Central’s Arthur J. Bosch Endowment and Moore Family Foundation and returned to Paris in order to research the debate between Leo Strauss and Alexandre Kojève. At Baylor, he is especially interested in studying the history of political philosophy.
