Baylor postdoctoral research, Dr. Joe Pastika, was recently selected for the 2019 distinguished researcher by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) physics center at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. He has been selected for two years in a row.
In addition, Baylor graduate student, Caleb Smith and Chris Madrid, who both work in the experiment high energy physics group, received prestigious award/scholarship. Caleb Smith received the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) award to work at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory on this CMS hadron calorimeter upgrade project and on a Supersymmetry search. Chris Madrid received the 2018 graduate scholarship of the Large Hadron Collider Physics Center at Fermilab.
Congratulations to all!
