Rob Elisher

I received undergraduate degrees in business and philosophy from Azusa Pacific University before moving to Baylor for graduate school. My interests are in the history of philosophy (especially Kierkegaard) and ethics (including medical ethics), with side passions for theology and political thought. My dissertation considers the relationship between partiality and impartiality, as expressed in different forms of love, in an effort to construct an account of special relationships informed by Kierkegaard’s account of “neighbor love.” I’m enjoying the opportunity to grow as a thinker and researcher, but what I really love is fellowship in the passionate pursuit of truth! Outside of philosophy, I tutor high school students across a range of subjects and enjoy traveling, reading novels, watching football, and spending time with family, especially with my wife and recently-born daughter!
