Oral history is best done by people who enjoy people. Those who do oral history for a living, as we do, commit their careers to ensuring that the stories of people are heard and preserved. Our faculty, staff, and students in the Institute for Oral History are people just like that--people who believe in the power of individual experience for understanding the complexity of culture and community. We invite you to become acquainted.
Our graduate assistants and undergraduate student workers are also valued members of our Institute staff. Working with us, they gain editorial skills and interviewing experience while helping process and preserve the Baylor oral history collection.
