Dr. Reagan Ramsower

Reagan Ramsower Dr. Reagan Ramsower is responsible for the operations of the administrative and financial divisions at Baylor University. The following offices report to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer:

Dr. Ramsower joined Baylor as a member of the faculty upon receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1983. He had earned two previous degrees from Baylor (BBA in 1974 and MS in economics in 1976).

Professor Ramsower was appointed in 1986 as Chair of the Department of Information Systems in the Hankamer School of Business. He served as associate dean in the business school before becoming associate vice president and chief information officer of the University. In 2001, he added to those responsibilities as dean of Baylor Libraries. Dr. Ramsower became the vice president for finance and administration in August 2004.

Internationally recognized for his pioneering work on telecommuting, he has published several books and numerous articles. Dr. Ramsower was named an Outstanding Baylor Professor in 1988, an Outstanding Baylor Alumnus in 1991, and Most Popular Business Professor in 1999.

Dr. Ramsower and his wife Glenda are members of Lake Shore Baptist Church and have two sons and five grandchildren. A member of the First Families of Baylor, several generations of his family have attended Baylor, from Ethel Lattimore Higginbotham, who was in the first class of women at Baylor, to his children and their spouses.
