Dae Vasek has been at Baylor since 1995. She has her Master of Science in Education from Baylor University. The Director of OALA oversees a staff of professionally trained disability service providers. Their goal is to promote equal access for students with disabilities to college programs and services. Additionally, the Director develops and manages programming, which allows the OALA staff to provide support to the college community and collaborate on college safety policy and procedures.

Assistant Director
Anna Shaw has been at Baylor since 2005. She has her Master of Arts in American Studies from Baylor University. Anna works with students, faculty and staff to ensure that academic accommodations are implemented, allowing access to all programs. As Assistant Director, she will also provide support to students with disabilities through mentoring, teaching and appropriate academic accommodations. Anna also assists the department by developing and implementing new initiatives.

Sarah Jarrell has been at Baylor since 2015. She has her Master of Science in Education from Texas Wesleyan University. Accommodation Specialists work with students with documented disabilities to provide academic and physical accessibility for students with disabilities, promote independence and maximize academic potential. The Accommodation Specialists also provide a safe and confidential environment where students have an opportunity to talk about their individual concerns. With this support, students can explore their alternatives, improve coping skills and make informed decisions. When appropriate, a student may be referred to outside agencies. Accommodation Specialists can also provide information in the areas of study skills, time management and test taking.

As a Wacoan since she was two, Jordan Walker returned to her hometown to work at Baylor in 2017. She attended Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications and Agricultural Leadership. After discovering her love for student development and success, Jordan pursued and received her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M in 2017.

Jordan is passionate about helping students find their potential and reaching success on their journey toward graduation. Jennifer Martinez has been at Baylor since 2017. She has her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Baylor University. The Office Manager provides much needed assistance for daily office activities and special projects.

Assistant Director, OALA Testing Center
Shane Davis has been at Baylor since 2017. He has both his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Education from Baylor University. Shane is responsible for overseeing all the Testing Center functions and ensuring that all testing guidelines are being adhered to so that students with disabilities are being properly accommodated. Shane also provides technological support to students, faculty and staff. As an Assistant Director, he supports the vision by helping students accomplish their academic goals by providing a supportive learning environment where they can flourish.

Testing Coordinator
The Testing and Technology Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating testing accommodations for students with disabilities, which includes communicating with students, faculty and staff regarding testing protocol, receiving and delivering exams, maintaining test security, ensuring academic integrity, developing testing room schedules and administering exams. Additionally, they are responsible for implementing emergent technologies to assist students with disabilities.

Accessibility Program Specialist
As the Accessibility Program Specialist, Erin works with students with documented mobility related conditions to provide physical accessibility support to promote academic success. Primarily, she is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing on-campus transportation services for students with temporary and permanent mobility related conditions through the Baylor Disability Shuttle Service. Additionally, Erin works with other departments on campus to facilitate access for students with disabilities.
Linda Allen

Administrative Associate, Accessibility
Linda Allen has been at Baylor since 1996. Linda previously worked in the Registrar’s Office serving as the Athletic Certification Coordinator until her retirement in June 2015. She returned to Baylor in January 2016 as Administrative Associate. The Administrative Associate provides assistance in daily office activities. Linda also provides assistance to the Accessibility Coordinator in transporting students with temporary injuries/disabilities using the Baylor Shuttle Service.
