Work and Education
Ms. Bader has been the Director of the Learning Resource Center at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing since 2003.  She is a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals.  She is a long-time member of the Medical Library Association and of the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association. In 2011 she received the Distinguished Service Award, the South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association’s highest honor.

Ms. Bader serves on the Nursing School’s Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and the Graduate Studies Committee. She also serves as an Academic Technology Director, a joint University IT and Libraries group. Ms. Bader was a member of the search committees for the LHSON Graduate Program Director and the Associate Director for Research and Scholarship.

Articles and Presentations
In May 2017 for LHSON Faculty Scholarship Day she gave a presentation “Predatory Publishers: What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You Professionally”. She has been a coauthor on papers published with Dean Shelley Conroy, Dr. Shelby Gardner, Dr. Claudia Beal, Dr. Mary Ann Faucher and Dr. Marie Hastings-Tolsma and Dr. Lori Spies.  Her professional interests are effective end-user searching and instruction, and health professionals use of electronic resources.

Ms. Bader is an active member of First United Lutheran Church in Dallas. She serves in regular rotation on altar care, and as a lector and assisting minister.  She served on the church governing board for 5 years, the last two years as president. She has routinely serves on committees for the national and regional medical library associations.
