We are so appreciative for the 80+ alums and their guests that attended the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing Alumni Reunion on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Lakewood Country Club. Together we celebrated the legacy of being a Baylor nurse and hosted a luncheon with keynote speaker, Dr. Susy Sportsman, PhD, RN, ANEF, FAAN, Managing Director of Collaborate Momentum Consulting.
We also honored the 50th, 40th and 30th anniversaries of the class of 1968, 1978 and 1988. It was our privilege to acknowledge these outstanding alums for their commitment and support of nursing.

We capped the day off with a presentation after the luncheon entitled, Readiness to Transition: Teaching the Next Generation of Nurses With Simulation. The exciting and interactive presentation was led by LHSON’s Jeanne Carey, MED, RN, CHSE, Manager of the Simulation Lab and Kelly L. Rossler, PhD, RN, CHSE, Assistant Professor and Simulation Coordinator.
Finally, as in years past, we invited alums to participate in an annual giving challenge for the 2018 Alumni Reunion to surpass the $16,600 raised in 2016 and $26,367 in 2017. We are grateful for the generosity of our alums in making such a meaningful difference in the lives of our students as they Learn.Lead.Serve.®. If you would still like to contribute to the 2018 Alumni Reunion giving challenge please visit www.baylor.edu/give or call Janis Kovar at (214) 808-9802. Your investment will multiply for many years to come as our compassionate Baylor nurses strive to be the hands and feet of Christ for those who need care.
As it has for generations, LHSON is leading the way by holistically educating students in mind and spirit to fulfill their calling. Thank you again for all those who attended the Alumni Reunion.
