Our DNP program is ranked in the top 10% and the MSN program in the top 15% in the USNWR Best Graduate Schools 2018 guidebook. Additionally, the Nurse Midwifery DNP program is ranked 10th in the nation.

POSITION: Assistant to Full Professor of Nursing (4 positions available)

QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral education (Ph.D., Ed.D. or D.Sc.) in nursing or related field and an active research agenda are required for tenure track appointments. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.

RESPONSBILITIES: Responsibilities for these tenure track positions will include research, teaching and related scholarly work; and service to the university, the faculty member’s professional field, and the community. The areas of responsibility will vary according to the faculty member’s specialty area and specific assignment. Excellent opportunities for collaborative research with area healthcare agencies exist.

RANK and SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

POSITION: Clinical Assistant to Clinical Full Professor (5 positions available beginning in Fall 2018)

QUALIFICATIONS: Practice or research doctorate (or progress toward terminal degree) is required for Clinical Track appointments. Candidates must have at least one graduate nursing degree with a clinical focus. Excellent opportunities for practice partnerships with clinical partners exist. All candidates must be eligible for unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include teaching and its related scholarly work, clinical scholarship, and service to the university, the faculty member's professional field, and the community. The areas of responsibility will vary according to the faculty member's specialty area and specific assignment.

RANK AND SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
