Admission Requirement

  • Graduate or undergraduate level inferential statistics course with grade of C or above
  • BSN degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA from most recent nursing degree
  • Three professional letters of recommendation
    (One must be from an immediate supervisor and one must be from someone who has worked with the individual and can speak to their work performance.)
  • Unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • Two years of full-time nursing practice
  • Currently employed in nursing practice
  • GRE is optional

On-Campus Requirements

  • All qualified students will either be invited to campus for a personal interview or be inteviewed virtually before admission. A supervised writing sample is also required during this interview.
  • Admitted students will return to campus for orientation before beginning their program of study.
  • Students are also required to come to campus after the last didactic course for their comprehensive oral exam before being approved for the NUR 5V92 3-credit Nurse Leader Residency course.

Application Deadlines
The final deadlines to apply the MSN program are April 1 and November 1 of each year.

Financial Aid
A variety of financial aid is available to online students. If you are interested in pursuing Federal student loan assistance, please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Submit the appropriate year FAFSA with financial information from your completed IRS tax return. Baylor University’s FAFSA code is 003545.
