Our mission, at the Louise Herrington School of Nursing of Baylor University, is to prepare baccalaureate and graduate level nurses within a Christian community, for professional practice, health care leadership, and worldwide service. Our Christian faith is at the very heart of nursing theory and practice. We believe that nurses have been called to make a difference. The Louise Herrington School of Nursing is located on the Baylor University Medical Center campus near downtown Dallas, TX. Our four-story complex includes a student computer lab, spacious classrooms wired for multi-media and video presentations and conference, state-of-the-art human patient simulators and student lounges. The complex also includes a Learning Resource Center and Student Success Center.
This full-time, 12-month program was created for students who already have a Bachelor's degree in another discipline and are interested in an alternative way to achieve a degree in nursing. The courses are fast-paced and require students to spend a significant amount of time each week studying and preparing for class. Classes begin in the middle of May and continue until the following May. Please visit the FastBacc Admission Requirements for specific application details.
This full-time, two year program is intended for both students pursuing their first bachelor's degree, as well as those who would like to earn a second degree at a slower pace than FastBacc. Students have the option of completing their prerequisite courses on our main Baylor University campus in Waco or at another accredited college or university. Please refer to the Transfer BSN Admission Requirements for more application information.
Please fill out the prospective student inquiry form if you would like to be contacted with general information regarding the Louise Herrington School of Nursing programs.
Come join others for a tour of our building: see a typical classroom, meet a few Sims in our Sim Lab, and see our Learning Resource Center! You will have an opportunity to participate in a general Question and Answer session with an Academic Advisor to discuss admission requirements and program details.
