Orientation + Baylor Line Camp Combined
Baylor University and the Department of New Student Programs are currently planning to host in-person experiences for New Student Orientation, Baylor Line Camp, and Welcome Week in Summer 2021. However, adjustments may be necessary based on University, local, state, and federal guidelines related to Covid-19. Updates will be provided as available on the New Student Programs website.
We highly recommend that first-year students attend an in-person Orientation + Baylor Line Camp - all in one 5-day experience! You are invited to attend Orientation for the first day and a half, and then spend the rest of the week at Baylor Line Camp. On the second day, after you have completed your Orientation experience, students will check in to camp and participate in three additional days of relationship building and preparing for their Baylor journey.
Orientation
Orientation is a two-day program designed to help you discover the incredible opportunities and experiences that await you as a Baylor Bear. You will meet other new Bears and take your first steps as part of the Baylor Line! There is no cost to attend Orientation, and students are encouraged to bring one parent or guest with them. Guests are limited to one per student this year as we maintain necessary social distancing.
Baylor Line Camp
Baylor Line Camp is an extended orientation experience designed to prepare students for their transition to Baylor. At Baylor Line Camp you will build friendships with future classmates and experience the deep traditions of Baylor University, learning what it truly means to be a Baylor Bear. The Baylor Line Camp portion of a Combined Session is just for students and requires a $125 registration fee.
Transfer Students are invited to attend the Baylor Line Camp portion of a Orientation + Baylor Line Camp Combined Session. Baylor Line Camp starts on the second day of the Combined Session.
NOTE: Reservations are handled on a first-come first-served basis with a limited number of spaces available in each session. Please confirm your session dates on goBaylor before making flight reservations.
To register for Baylor Line Camp, you will need your Bear ID, a credit card to submit your $125 registration fee payment, the name you would like on the back of your Baylor Line Jersey (you can update this at a later time if you need to), and your Jersey size. Line Jerseys tend to run small, and many students prefer to select one size larger than their usual t-shirt size.
Please do not make travel or lodging accommodations until you have a confirmed reservation in a specific session.
