Specialty Line Camps

Specialty Line Camps provide unique opportunities to build relationships with others who share an academic focus, while experiencing the traditions of Baylor.

Perhaps you would like to attend with other students in the Honors College, or with future classmates who are studying Engineering and Computer Science (ECS)? Learn more about these opportunities below.

Honors Line Camp

Honors College Line Camp is designed specifically for new students who have been selected to participate in the Honors College (Honors Program, Baylor Interdisciplinary Core, University Scholars, and Great Texts). You will build relationships with other entering Honors College students, as well as with returning students, faculty, and staff. This session is a wonderful way to connect both within your academic area and the broader Baylor community!

Engineering & Computer Science Line Camp 

Engineering & Computer Science (ECS) Line Camp is designed specifically for new students interested in finding community within their academic area (Engineering, Computer Science, and Bioinformatics). Experience Baylor as you engage in unique and thought-provoking activities and build relationships with fellow students, faculty, and staff in the School of Engineering and Computer Science.

How and when to sign up

The reservation form will open on Spring 2020, and will be available on this webpage. All Baylor Line Camp sessions with open spaces will show as available within the form, allowing you to select the session that best fits with your schedule. Reservations are handled on a first-come first-served basis with a limited number of spaces available in each session.

Please note that you must select an option for Orientation before you will be able to complete your Baylor Line Camp reservation.


The cost to attend any on-campus session is only $125! This covers all your meals, on-campus housing, bus transportation during the program, all materials you'll need for Camp, and even your Baylor Line Jersey. Online payment via credit card is required to complete your reservation.

Change of Plans?

We understand that summer schedules and plans change and you may need to modify your Baylor Line Camp reservation.

Need to Change Session?

If you need to change your Line Camp session, please return to the Baylor Line Camp reservation form to select an available session.

Need to Cancel Session?

In order to provide opportunity for as many students as possible to attend Baylor Line Camp, we ask that you notify us at your earliest convenience if you are no longer able to attend your confirmed session. If you no longer plan to attend, cancellation requests must be submitted via email to baylorlinecamp@baylor.edu.

Experiencing Baylor Line Camp

As your Baylor Line Camp session approaches, we know you will have additional questions about what to expect and how to prepare. In addition to the information below, you will also receive additional details via your Baylor email in the weeks leading up to your session. Arrival/Departure Information
Check-in and Check-out

Baylor Line Camp Check-in will be from 2:30pm to 4:00pm in the East Village Dining Commons, located at 1706 S. 3rd Street. Camp activities will begin at 4:00pm.

Baylor Line Camp Check-out will be at 12:00pm (noon) at East Village on the last day of your camp session.

NOTE: Students are expected to attend their camp session through the last day of the session in order to maximize their camp experience. Approval for departure on any day other than the last day should be requested and approved prior to making your reservation and travel arrangements.


Parking for Baylor Line Camp is available in the East Campus Parking Garage, located at 246 Daughtrey Ave. You do not need a parking permit to park on campus during Baylor Line Camp. Be sure to park in STUDENT PARKING spaces on the third or fourth level.

Flying in or out of Waco?

Be sure to confirm your session dates on goBaylor before making any flight or other travel arrangements.

Please consider the following times when scheduling your flights into and out of Waco:

  • Targeted Flight Arrival Time on first day of camp: 12:00pm - 3:30pm
  • Targeted Flight Departure Time on last day of camp: 12:30pm - 5:00pm

The City of Waco offers a flexible, affordable shuttle option with service to the Waco Regional Airport and any other locations in McLennan County. Reservations must be made in advance. Visit the Waco Transit System website to learn more about this service.

If you will be flying in to or out of the Waco airport and need a ride to/from Baylor Campus only, please submit the Transportation Request Form. All other transportation will need to be taken care of by the individual. Our Transportation Coordinator will be in contact with you regarding your transportation needs the beginning of June.

Flying into or out of Dallas?

Although Baylor does not offer a shuttle from DFW Airport or Dallas Love Field, there are local shuttle options that provide direct service to both Dallas area airports. Two local options are:

Baylor Line Camp Check-in

Baylor Line Camp activities begin at 4:00pm with Check-in beginning as early as 2:30pm at East Village Dining Commons, located at 1706 S. 3rd Street.

Lodging and Meals

Students attending July Line Camp will be housed in East Village residence halls and will receive their room assignment at Check-in. Please consult the packing list for recommended items to bring for your stay at Baylor Line Camp.


All meals during Baylor Line Camp are provided. Many of our meals are catered by local favorites. Please be sure to indicate your dietary considerations on the reservation form.
