Baylor Opera Theater Presents Excerpts from Great Operas and Musicals

The Baylor Opera Theater will present a program of opera scenes called “Love, Deceit, and … Tango,” on Wednesday, October 15, and Thursday, October 16, beginning at 7:30 p.m. each night in Roxy Grove Hall. These two performances will be fully costumed and staged, with piano accompaniment.
Director of Opera Octavio Cárdenas and Assistant Professor of Voice Jeffrey Peterson will lead members of Baylor Opera Theater in excerpts from such illustrious operas and musicals as Giuseppe Verdi’s Falstaff, Domenico Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto, Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Ástor Piazzolla’s María de Buenos Aires, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte, and Die Zauberflöte.
