Theory

Angela Ripley is a Part-time Lecturer in Musicianship at Baylor University. Dr. Ripley holds degrees in music theory (Ph.D., The Ohio State University; M.M., Baylor University) and church music (Baylor University). Prior to her current appointment at Baylor, she taught graduate and undergraduate courses at the College of Wooster, the University of Alabama, Baylor University, The Ohio State University, and Texas A&M University-Commerce. Her research focuses on music theory pedagogy, with a specialization in pedagogical games. She has presented her research at national and regional meetings of the Society for Music Theory and at Pedagogy into Practice: Teaching Music Theory in the Twenty-First Century. Her articles appear in the Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy, Music Theory Pedagogy Online, and HAYDN: Online Journal of the Haydn Society of North America.
