Collaborative Piano Degree Plan

The Master of Music in Collaborative Piano is a professional degree designed for those who have successfully completed an undergraduate program in piano and wish to develop the specialized skills needed to be a successful piano collaborator. Full graduate assistantships are available to qualified applicants.

Master of Music in Collaborative Piano Objectives:
  1. To provide professional keyboard training wherein each student is challenged to develop his or her potential as a collaborative pianist to the highest degree of excellence;
  2. To expand the student’s combined musical and intellectual comprehension and perception through study in music history and literature, performance practice, and music theory;
  3. To prepare for doctoral work, professional careers in collaborative music making with both vocalists and instrumentalists, and other related musical activities such as coaching and teaching.
