Krassimira Jordan is Artist-in-Residence and Professor of Piano at Baylor University. Prior to coming to Baylor she taught at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. Professor Jordan studied piano at the Sofia Conservatory, Moscow Conservatory, and the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts. As a concert pianist she was the winner of Alfred Casella, Clara Haskil, Alessandro Casagrande, and Rio de Janeiro International Piano Competitions. She has performed at significant venues in Russia, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, and the United States. She made her Carnegie Hall debut in 1989. She has made a series of recordings entitled Famous Pianoworks by Franz Liszt. Krassimira Jordan’s compact disc releases, Slavic Masterworks for Piano and The Legacy of Pantcho Vladigerov, are both available on the Albany Records label. Her most recent CD, which includes Franz Liszt's Sonata in B Minor, is available online (www.cdbaby.com/cd/krassimira).
