Piano Technician

Darren Roos joined Baylor as a Piano Technician in 2014. He helps manage the large inventory of pianos and other keyboard instruments. This includes regulating the tuning, tone, and touch of the instruments, along with repairs, moving, records management, and more. He has a music degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. He trained, originally, at the Steinway Piano Gallery in St. Louis, MO, and became a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild in 2002. After being self-employed for many years in the Springfield/Branson, MO area, he joined Baylor in 2014. 

Darren is an active musician, playing many instruments including trombone, guitar, and others. He is also an accomplished songwriter. He loves to teach and is active in Toastmasters International.
