Budget Assistant, Ensembles

Russell Wiley manages the day-to-day operations in the Ensembles Division office and assists in managing the budget for Baylor University’s ensembles within the School of Music. A native of Southern Mississippi, Russell spent several years as a member and instructor of various DCI drum & bugle corps including Southwind, The Phantom Regiment, Teal Sound and Guardians. Currently he serves as a visual instructor and Staff Coordinator for The Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps. He is a former member of The Commandant’s Own US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps where he served as a soprano bugler, drill writer, and visual caption head. Following his time in the Marine Corps, Russell completed his Bachelor of Music degree in Percussion from Texas A&M University Central Texas. In his spare time, he is a professional arranger, composer, and drill designer for high school and college marching bands.
