General Information

All students will receive ratings and critique sheets from the judges.

Contestants are required to enter the division which includes their present school grade. No student may enter both solo and concerto competitions. Former first place winners may not compete in the same division but may enter into the next higher division than their current grade.

Recordings should be of sufficiently high quality to allow the judges to accurately hear tonal quality without distortion. The video should show a clear view of the pianist’s profile and keyboard. Audio quality is more important than video quality, however, most modern smartphones should provide adequate recording quality.  The performance should ideally be done on a well-tuned acoustic piano with good tonal characteristics.

Entry forms and fees should be mailed on or before January 11, 2021. Prompt notification will be given if a selection is not approved. Entry fees are non-refundable once a contestant has been accepted.
