Graduate Assistantship in Flute - Opening for Fall 2018

Charlotte Daniel serves as Assistant Professor of Flute at Baylor University, where she also performs as a member of the Baylor Winds and as principal flutist of the Waco Symphony Orchestra. With the Austin-based wind quintet, QuinTexas, she claimed the Silver Medal in the 2016 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Coleman-Saunderson Prize at the 2015 Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition. Charlotte has served as invited performer, educator and adjudicator throughout central Texas, including festival programming led by the Austin Chamber Music Center, Central Texas Flute Society, Houston Flute Club, and the Austin Flute Society. Previous orchestral experience includes Piccolo/Third Flute of the Round Rock Symphony, performances with the Austin Symphony and Ann Arbor Opera, and summer residencies as performing fellow at the Brevard Music Center, Bayview Music Festival, and National Music Festival. Dr. Daniel received the DMA in Flute Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, MM in Chamber Music and Performance from the University of Michigan, and the BM in Performance from Oklahoma State University. Her primary teachers include Marianne Gedigian, Amy Porter and Conor Nelson.
