Ms. Susan Li

Assistant Professor of Ensembles and Director of Baylor Opera

Susan Stone Li is an opera production specialist with a diverse skillset and passion for training students who will become professional colleagues. Through her ability to transition classical production aesthetics into non-traditional spaces, Ms. Li has served in various roles for many opera companies. Most recently, as Assistant Director for Seven Deadly Sins, for Wolf Trap Opera, staged in a converted warehouse.

Mr. Joseph Li

Assistant Professor of Vocal Coaching

Joseph Li, Assistant Professor of Voice, has played and coached for Houston Grand Opera, Wolf Trap Opera Company, Opera Lyra Ottawa, Arizona Opera, Opera Birmingham, Opera in the Heights, and the Aspen Opera Theater Center. This summer Mr. Li served as Head of Music for the Wolf Trap Opera Company’s 2016 season. In past summers at Wolf Trap he coached Wolf Trap Opera Company’s Le nozze di Figaro, Carmen, Don Giovanni, The Inspector (John Musto world premiere), and played various multi-genre Vocal Colors recital series at the Phillips Collection in Washington, DC.

Dr. Jeffrey Peterson

Associate Professor of Voice

Music Director for Baylor Opera Theater

Jeffrey Peterson, pianist and coach, has appeared in recitals and master classes on five continents, with such important operatic artists as Martina Arroyo, James King, and Teresa Kubiak, in venues as far-reaching as Hoam Hall in Seoul, the Marian Anderson Festival and Competition, and Manaus, Brazil. He has performed throughout the United States with flutists Francesca Arnone, Valerie Potter, and Tadeu Coelho. Dr. Peterson has taught at Indiana University, the University of Illinois, the University of Akron, and served on the Opera Studies Faculty at Northwestern University for five years. ~ MORE...
