Baylor offers a wide variety of study abroad programs pertaining to a wide range of degree plans, including the Latin American Studies majors and minors. Students who elect to pursue one of these two degrees are strongly encouraged to attend at least one of the study abroad programs. This helps students to gain an understanding of the people whom they are studying by experiencing life as it is in Latin America.
Students who attend one of the Study Abroad Programs offered have found their Baylor experience to be vastly enriched. Some benefits of studying abroad include improved language competency, a better grasp of culture, and a broader worldview.
Baylor offers study abroad programs to several countries in Latin America: Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Argentina. Programs to Spain are also available. For further information, go to International Student and Scholar Services or Center for International Education.
