Italian belongs to the group of Romance languages. Primarily spoken in the Italian peninsula, it is the language of 65 million Italians and inhabitants of other countries (the Vatican City, San Marino, parts of Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, and other areas of the globe). We offer a Minor in Italian and a Secondary Major in Italian Studies, study abroad programs, and extracurricular activities (namely the Italian Club and the weekly conversation group Tavola italiana) in order to enhance the learning process.
So, why not consider taking Italian and perhaps minoring or declaring a secondary major in this language? Italian is a useful complement to an international career in business, fashion, film, the travel industry, diplomacy, government, journalism, and public relations. We offer advanced courses in cinema, gastronomy, pop culture, civilization, language studies and literature. Italian could be the ideal minor or secondary major for you!
