One Heart Associates & Fellows Program

Staff and Faculty Associates 

Staff and Faculty Associates will commit to speaking, educating, and sharing their story with the One Heart adolescent cohort one time per semester. Speakers will embody the nine core traits of the One Heart curriculum: commitment, leadership, perseverance, teamwork, respect, integrity, responsibility, self-control, and compassion. The Staff or Faculty Associate that speaks each week will strive to share stories that embody and exemplify the character trait being taught that week. Staff and Faculty Associates will become familiar with the One Heart Project’s goals and outcomes. 

Faculty Fellows 

Faculty fellows will commit to building juvenile recidivism or prison reform into their research agenda for the academic year. Faculty Fellows’ research will inform policy change and help end the prison cycle. 

Community Associates

Community Associates will commit to speaking, educating, and sharing their story with the One Heart adolescent cohort one time per semester. Speakers will be community members such as business owners, coaches, teachers, first responders, politicians, formerly incarcerated individuals, and other influential leaders in our community. Community Associates will embody the nine core traits of the One Heart curriculum: commitment, leadership, perseverance, teamwork, respect, integrity, responsibility, self-control, and compassion. Community Associates that speak each week will strive to share stories that embody and exemplify the character trait being taught.  Community Associates will become familiar with the One Heart Project’s goals and further project outcomes.
