Baylor to Hold Student Rally Feb. 5

January 30, 1996

The St. Louis chapter of the Baylor University Parents League will host a Baylor Rally at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5 at the Kirkwood Baptist Church.
Representatives from Baylor, including students, faculty or administrators, and staff from the Office of Recruitment and Parents League will come to address questions regarding the university. A presentation will be made by Dr. Naymond Keathley, associate dean for the College of Arts and Sciences and professor of religion at Baylor. A panel discussion and a video presentation will also be included in the program.
All prospective students are invited to the meeting as well as Baylor parents and alumni. The program would be particularly beneficial for high school juniors and seniors, said Baylor Parents League Coordinator Rachelle Sheffield.
Baylor has been consistently ranked among the top universities in the country for efficiency and value in cost and the quality of education by U.S. News and World Report. Baylor is also consistently ranked in the top one percent of all colleges and universities in the United States in the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.
High school seniors interested in Baylor have the opportunity to be in the inaugural class to enter Baylor as the school begins competition in the Big 12 Athletic Conference, which promises to be one of the premier sports conferences in America.
