The EDUCASE Learning Initiative's 7 Things You Should Know About... series will be hosted by Baylor University's Electronic Library in cooperation with the University Libraries and the Academy for Teaching and Learning, beginning June 15 until Aug. 3.

The summer series, which is open to faculty and staff, will cover each technology-related 45-minute seminar topic twice. Once a session topic is complete, a video of the recorded session will be available for online streaming.

The first session will begin at 10 a.m. June 15 on iPad Apps for learning. Registration is free and will be open until June 14.

EDUCAUSE created the 7 Things You Should Know About... series to keep faculty updated on emerging technology and open dialogue on how that technology can be used in their institution.

Topics covered in the series will include: iPad Apps for Learning, LMS Alternatives, Backchannel Communication, Digital Storytelling, Online Media Editing, Open Textbook Publishing and Privacy in Web 2.0 Learning Environments.

Sessions will be led by Abby Gamble, Ashley Palmer, Ellen Filgo, David Burns, Lance Grisby, Dr. Sandy Bennett and John Lowe.

All sessions will be located in Jesse Jones Library at 1301 S. 2nd Street.
