Heart of Texas Community Tailgate Set for March 26

Baylor University's Heart of Texas Community Tailgate draws hundreds of Central Texas residents to campus for a day of free family fun at Baylor Ballpark.

Baylor University will host its seventh annual Heart of Texas Community Tailgate, a free event for families, Saturday, March 26, at Getterman Softball Stadium and Baylor Ballpark.

The Heart of Texas Community Tailgate will begin at 1 p.m. with free inflatables, carnival games, fast pitch and lunch at Baylor Ballpark.

Free general admission tickets, while supplies last, will be available for the Baylor Lady Bears vs. Texas A&M softball game, which begins at 2 p.m. at Getterman Stadium, and the Baylor Bears vs. Kansas State baseball game, which begins at 3 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark. The free tickets will be available game day only, beginning two hours before each game.

"Baylor University welcomes friends and neighbors to our campus for a day of food and fun. We are excited to be able to include softball this year," said Jana L. Hixson, director of community relations at Baylor.
