Career Services Center to Host Job Search Seminar Sept. 28

The Career Services Center at Baylor University will host a "Creative Job Search Strategies" seminar from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in Kayser Auditorium, located in the Hankamer School of Business on campus.
Stan Kopec, a 1974 Baylor graduate, will speak about job search strategies for graduates and for those who are changing jobs. Kopec will also discuss "dos and don'ts" of the job search as well as techniques that have and haven't been effective in the past.
He will also discuss creative ways to find jobs and market a job seeker's credentials. The seminar will consist of a presentation by Kopec and an interactive discussion and question/answer session.
Kopec is a manager in the defense systems department at Texas Instruments in McKinney. He is involved in interviewing and hiring at the company and is knowledgeable in interviewing techniques and job search strategies. He has made similar interactive presentations at Baylor in previous semesters.
