June 29, 2004

by Sarah Levine

Save $1 on admission by wearing Red, White & Blue to Baylor University's Mayborn Museum Complex on July 4th and 5th. The Mayborn Museum will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 4, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, July 5.
The Mayborn Museum offers something for everyone. Gaze in wonder at a 28-foot pliosaur "swimming" overhead in the Cretaceous Sea exhibit; walk on a glass floor over the bones of a bull mammoth with a juvenile in its tusks; and visit a Waco Indian grass house. Get "hands on" making hieroglyphic messages, feeling the rough coat of a bison, and creating a dam on the water table in the Jeanes Discovery Center.
Enjoy lunch in the air conditioned comfort of the Discovery Café.
The Mayborn Museum Complex is located at 1300 S. University Parks in Waco. For more information, call (254) 710-1110 or visit Mayborn Museum Complex.
