Tribute To Black Woman To Be Held At Baylor

The Tau Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. at Baylor University will host a "Tribute to the Black Woman" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
The keynote speaker is motivational speaker Priscilla Evans Shirer. The host of the Chicago-based television program Health Town, she is the daughter of Tony Evans, pastor of the Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church in Dallas. She delivers speeches on the importance of family, the value of women in society and problems facing the black community.
"She's really great. She's an incredible speaker. She is a member of our sister sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.," said fraternity president Kene Chinweze.
