Dr. William V. Davis, professor of English and Writer-in-Residence, had a poem titled "Leaves" published in The Heart of Autumn: Poems for the Season of Reflection by Beacon Press, edited by Robert Atwan (p. 63, 2003). He had an essay titled "I Remember Most My teachers" published in Ohio Today: Commemorating the Bicentennial of Ohio University: 1804-2004.

Dr. Gregory T. Garrett, professor of English, had a short story titled "The Hands of Christ" published in Windhover(pp. 215-224, 2003).

Dr. D. Thomas Hanks Jr., professor of English, had an article titled "Epilogue: Malory's Morte Darthur and the Place of the Voice" and a CD-ROM of readings titled "Malory Aloud" published in Arthuriana (Vol. 13, No. 4, pp. 119-133, winter 2003). Dr. Hanks directed the readings and performed in two of them.

Dr. Maurice A. Hunt, chair and research professor of English, had an article titled "Reformation/Counter-Reformation Macbeth" accepted for publication in an upcoming issue of English Studies.

Dr. Thomas S. Kidd, assistant professor of history, had an article titled "'Let Hell and Rome Do Their Worst': World News, the Catholic Threat and International Protestantism in Provincial Boston" published in The New England Quarterly (Vol. 76, No. 2, pp. 265-290, June 2003). He had an article titled "'Is It Worse to Follow Mahomet than the Devil?': Early American Uses of Islam" published in Church History (Vol. 72, No. 4, pp. 766-790, December 2003). He had an article titled "'Men are Not Perfect or Essentially Good': Finding Perry Miller and Reinhold Niebuhr's Common Ground" published in Christian Scholar's Review (Vol. 33, No. 2, pp. 197-211, winter 2004).

Dr. Roger E. Kirk, Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Statistics and Master Teacher, had articles titled "Latin Square" and "Maturation Effect" published in Sage Encyclopedia of Social Science Research Methods by Sage Publications, edited by Michael S. Lewis-Beck, Alan E. Bryman and Tim Futing Liao (2003).

Dr. Melanie McEwen, associate professor of nursing, had an article titled "Analysis of Spirituality Content in Nursing Textbooks" published in Journal of Nursing Education (Vol. 43, No. 1, pp. 20-30, 2004).

Dr. John N. Ochola, interim associate director of the African Studies Program and assistant professor and collection development librarian, had reviews of The Church as the Bulwark Against Authoritarianism: Development of Church-State Relations in Kenya, with Particular Reference to the Years After Political Independence 1963-1992 by Gideon G. Githiga and Church, State and Society in Kenya: From Mediation to Opposition 1963-1993 by Galia Sabar published in Journal of Church and State (Vol. 45, No. 4, autumn 2003).

Dr. Ralph C. Wood, University Professor of Theology and Literature, had a book titled The Gospel According to Tolkien: Visions of the Kingdom in Middle-earth published by Westminster John Knox Press (2003). Dr. Gaynor I. Yancey, assistant professor of social work, Dr. Robin K. Rogers, associate professor of social work, Dr. Jon E. Singletary, assistant professor of social work, Kelly Atkinson, assistant director of the FASTEN research project, and Lori Thomas, Virginia Commonwealth University, had a co-authored article titled "Public-private Partnerships: Interactions between Faith-based Organizations and Government Entities" accepted for publication in a forthcoming issue of Social Policy Journal.
