Baylor University's department of student activities invites Baylor grandparents to participate in Grandparents Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 20-21.
Scheduled activities start on Friday with a dessert reception at Armstrong Browning Library from 6 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, registration will be held at 8 a.m. in Barfield Drawing Room on the second floor of Bill Daniel Student Center.
From 8:30-9:30 a.m., a complimentary breakfast will be served and Jeffrey Leach, Baylor's Student Body President, will speak about the university's progress and changes from a student's perspective.
A few options following the breakfast are trolley tours of campus, getting photos taken with their grandchildren or shopping in the Baylor Bookstore.
Beginning at 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Baylor's live mascots Joy and Lady will be out and excited to meet the grandparents of Baylor students.
In addition to the exciting events, meals and speakers, a limited number of "All University Sing" tickets for Saturday's performance have been reserved for Grandparents Weekend attendees. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Baylor Ticket Office at 254-710-3210 and can be picked up Saturday morning during registration.
