The Asian Students Association of Baylor University will host its fifth annual "Pandamonium" culture show and ninth annual Asian Fest at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, on the Baylor campus.

The "Pandamonium" culture show on Friday will be held at the SUB Bowl outside the Bill Daniel Student Center and includes diverse dance performances, bands, a fashion show and booths featuring different Asian cultures.

Student organizations participate in "Pandamonium" to bring the campus together in celebration of Asian culture and diversity. Participating organizations include the Filipino Student Association, Korean Students Association, Indian Subcontinent Student Association, Taekwondo Club and Asians for Christ.

The annual banquet on Saturday will be held on the fifth floor of the Cashion Building and features guest speaker Parry Shen.

"This is an opportunity for students to get dressed up and enjoy an evening of good food and a great speaker," said Kelley Kimple, coordinator for multicultural activities.

Shen is managing editor of "Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology." He is a Chinese-American actor and was the lead actor in the 2002 movie "Better Luck Tomorrow." Shen has spoken to students at more than 150 universities sharing his experiences as an Asian American in the media.

His keynote will discuss issues he has noticed since his days as an officer in his Asian American Organization on campus to being the lead in "Better Luck Tomorrow," according to his official web site. He will share his ideas on how the Asian-American community can be proactive after college.

Tickets for the banquet are on sale at the BDSC ticket office and the Baylor Sciences Building.
