Baylor University will hold a Fall Career Fair for students and alumni from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Ferrell Center.
Approximately 84 organizations, including AmeriCorps, ExxonMobil, Dell Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers, will be represented at the fair. Students can log on to Career Services and use the links available to connect with these organizations' web sites. Students also will find job descriptions and internship opportunities.
"This is a way for students and alumni to visit with employers and look for jobs without having to travel anywhere," said Carolyn Muska, associate director for Career Services. "It's a great networking opportunity."
Muska recommends that students use the web site to research the organizations that most interest them and plan to meet with their representatives at the fair. She also suggests students dress conservatively and bring several copies of their résumé.
Students can prepare for the event by attending a job fair seminar by Susie Martin, a corporate recruiter with Ferguson Enterprises. The seminar is from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, in room 102 in the Cashion Academic Center of the Hankamer School of Business.
