Baylor University has donated 30 computer desktops, 30 flat-screen displays, 30 keyboards, 30 mice, 30 sets of speakers and a projector to Our Lady of the Lake University after a devastating fire destroyed four floors of the Main Building in the center of the San Antonio campus.

Daniel Iturbe and Joshua Ogden, two staff members from Baylor's ITS Client Services department, drove more than 180 miles from Waco to San Antonio on Tuesday, May 13, to deliver the donated items. The items will be used to restock a computer lab that was heavily damaged in the fire.

"Everyone there was very appreciative of the systems that we brought them," Ogden said. "I was very excited from the beginning about being able to have a role in helping OLLUSA get back on their feet."

Baylor often donates "ready to recycle" items to charity, but after Baylor staff noticed on Our Lady of the Lake University's website that several computer items were needed, they decided to give them to the San Antonio university.
