Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary and the The Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching will host ministers and seminarians from around the country for the Winter Pastors' School on Feb. 4-6 on the Baylor campus.

"The Winter Pastors' School provides an opportunity for pastors and laypersons to come together for a time of inspiration and continuing education," said Dr. W. Hulitt Gloer, The David E. Garland Professor of Preaching and director of the Lake Center at Truett Seminary. "Each year the program will feature a nationally known leader in the area of preaching and pastoral ministry together with a nationally known musician to lead in times of worship."

This year's conference will feature sessions on preaching, worship and pastoral ministry, led by this year's guest speaker, Dr. Calvin Miller, professor of preaching and pastoral ministry at Beeson Divinity School at Samford University and author of more than 40 books of popular theology and inspiration. Music will be led by Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Kyle Matthews, "whose music inspires and challenges," Gloer said.

Dr. David Garland, dean of Truett Seminary and The William M. Hinson Professor of Christian Scriptures, will lead regular sessions in Bible study.

Breakout sessions, led by Truett faculty, will include sessions on various topics, such as:
? "Recent Trends in Pauline Interpretation" - Dr. Todd Still
? "Keep Silence or Make a Joyful Noise? Solving a Liturgical Dilemma" - Dr. Terry York
? "The Spiritual Formation of the Pastor" - Dr. Dennis Tucker
