Tickets for the Thursday night performance of Baylor's All University Sing are still available.
The show begins at 7 p.m. at Waco Hall on the Baylor campus. Tickets for the center three sections of the floor are $20, the outside floor sections and lower balcony are $17.50, and seats in the upper balcony are $15. Tickets can be purchased through the Bill Daniel Student Center ticket office at 710-3210.
This is the first time there has been a Thursday performance during the second week of Sing, said Mike Riemer, coordinator of special performances. Tickets are sold out for the Friday and Saturday night shows.
A Baylor tradition since 1953, All University Sing is one of the most popular productions on campus with 18 student organizations showcasing their musical, theatrical and dancing abilities in Broadway-style acts. A national panel of judges will review the acts and choose the top three groups based on entertainment value, musical quality, creativity, choreography and theme development. The winners will be announced on March 1, the last night of performances.
The top eight groups will be invited back to perform in Pigskin Review during Homecoming in fall 2003. The People's Choice awards, created during the 1999 performances, again will be included in this year's award ceremony. The award is based on audience votes on best backdrop, best music selection, best theme development and best costumes.
