February 4, 2003

Baylor University's department of student activities invites Baylor grandparents to participate in Grandparents Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21-23.
Scheduled activities on Saturday begin with registration and breakfast from 8-10 a.m. on the second floor of the Bill Daniel Student Center, where pre-ordered "All University Sing" tickets for Saturday evening can be picked up. "All University Sing" is sold out for Friday and Saturday evenings.
From 9 to 11 a.m., Baylor trolleys will take participants on tours of the campus and the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village. Between tours, guests are invited to shop in the Baylor Bookstore to take advantage of a special Grandparents Weekend discount.
A dessert reception will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Bobo Baptist Student Center, where Jerome Loughridge, chief of staff to Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr., will speak.
Following the day's activities, grandparents and students are encouraged to visit one of Waco's many museums or various attractions on their own until Sing begins at 7 p.m.
Local restaurants will offer discounts to grandparents on Saturday, including Baris III, IHOP, Dock's River Front, McAlister's Deli, Big Daddy's, Buzzard Billy's and George's.
