The 17th annual gathering of Baylor University's Golden Wave Alumni Band will show that they can still make beautiful music as the band participates in the Homecoming pep rally and bonfire on Friday, Oct. 25. The alumni band also will perform at Baylor-Kansas State football game Oct. 26 at Floyd Casey Stadium.
Golden Wave alumni are invited to kick off the Homecoming weekend with a reception hosted by the Golden Wave Band Council on Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the Jones Concert Hall lobby. Following the reception, alumni will march with the Golden Wave Band to the pep rally and bonfire at Fountain Mall at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, alumni band members will meet at 7 a.m. to check out their instruments and enjoy a continental breakfast in the Jones Concert Hall lobby. The alumni band will rehearse game music at 9:30 a.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a business meeting. Marching practice will resume at 11 a.m., and members will march into the stadium with the rest of the 250-member Golden Wave Marching Band before kickoff at 2 p.m.
