Dyer Ethics Workshop Set for Sept. 28

The Baylor University School of Social Work will offer its ninth annual Preston M. Dyer Workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Family Practice Center Lecture Hall, 1600 Providence Dr.
The three-hour event will focus on ethical decision-making in theory and practice with presentations by Dr. Hap LeCrone, gerontologist and clinical psychologist, and Helen Harris, graduate field education director and senior lecturer at the School of Social Work at Baylor.
Topics will include models for ethical decision-making, examples and process of ethical dilemmas in practice and consultation, and supervision when the dilemma persists.
The workshop provides the opportunity to earn .3 continuing education units in ethics for social work practitioners in the community.
Registration fees submitted by Sept. 21 are $50 for social work practitioners and $25 for Baylor field supervisors, both of which include CEU application costs. There is no cost for students, but they must register. After Sept. 21 or on site, registration fees are $65 and $35, respectively.
