Historic Village To Hold Sunday Church Service Sept. 22

Baylor University's Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village will host "An Old-Fashioned Sunday" from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22. Dr. Paul Powell, dean of George W. Truett Theological Seminary, will deliver a sermon at 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the village church. A hymn sing will be held at 10:30 a.m.
At noon, village visitors can enjoy a picnic on the grounds. Bluegrass bands and gospel music performances will begin at 12:30 p.m. Additionally, children can participate in various games that were popular during the 1890s.
Admission is free, but box lunch tickets are $10 and must be reserved in advance. The Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village is located on University Parks Drive behind the Baylor Alumni Center.
