An Evening Of Duo Piano Music At Baylor April 2

Elvia Puccinelli and Jane Abbott-Kirk of the Baylor University School of Music faculty will present "An Evening of Duo Piano Music" at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in Roxy Grove Hall.
The program will open with the Sonata in F minor for Two Pianos, Op. 34b, by Johannes Brahms. A performance of the three rhythmic Danses andalouses by Spanish composer Manuel Infante will follow.
Concluding the recital will be the Suite No. 1 for Two Pianos, Op. 5, by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. This four-movement work--also known by the name "Fantasy" for Two Pianos--dates from the year 1893.
Puccinelli, assistant professor of piano and director of accompanying, joined the Baylor music faculty in the fall of 2001. Abbott-Kirk, associate professor of piano, has been a member of the faculty since 1973.
