Baylor Theater to Present "School House Rock Live!"

Baylor Theatre will present "School House Rock Live!" beginning at 7:30 p.m. March 23-25 and March 30-April 1. Matinees will run at 2 p.m. March 26 and April 2 in the Jones Theatre of the Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center.

"A fun new spin on a TV classic" that was originally adapted and produced for the stage by Theatre BAM and based on the book by Scot Ferguson, George Keeting and Kyle Hall, "School House Rock Live!" portrays Tom, an overwhelmed young teacher, who is helped by an energetic cast of characters to bring excitement back to learning.

"Audiences of all ages will laugh, thrill and sing along to this colorful musical adventure," according to the theater website.

The cast of "School House Rock Live!" includes Lauren Kelly, Zach Kelty, Mary Laws, Patrick Matzig, Meredith Owens, Haley Phillips, Kelsey Scott, Michael Summers, Suzanne Tarta, Austin Terrell, Clay Wheeler and Jeff Wisnoski.

A master's thesis production, the play will be directed by Meredith Sutton.

Tickets are $15 for the general public, and students receive a $2 discount with a student ID. Tickets are available in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center box office.
