Specialty actor Roger Nelson will perform a one-man portrayal of Ireland's patron saint in The Confession of St. Patrick during Chapel at 10 and 11 a.m. March 11, in Waco Hall on the Baylor University campus.
Nelson will portray St. Patrick, who was kidnapped at age 16 and sold as a slave to an Irish chieftain. The text of the portrayal, "Confession," was written in Latin around 450 A.D. during Patrick's years as a missionary to Ireland.
Nelson's acting career began in 1977, when his New York minister had a dream that Nelson was actually John Wesley. Nelson has portrayed John Wesley and St. Patrick in 31 countries and all 50 states. He has performed in diverse locations ranging from Carnegie Hall to Billy Graham's headquarters.
Chapel also can be watched live on the web at www.baylor.edu/Chaplain .
