Discovery Center To Hold Museum Olympics Feb. 2

The Olympics are coming to Baylor University's Ollie Mae Moen Discovery Center Saturday, Feb. 2. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., children and their parents can participate in a range of Olympic-themed activities during the center's popular Creatures and Culture family day.
The center's Madagascar roaches will take center stage during the roach races. Rick Strot will perform puppet shows at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Vivian Rutherford will share African folk tales at 11:15 a.m. and 12:30, 2 and 3 p.m. The Baylor Hispanic Students Association will help visitors with Mexican arts and crafts, and other activities will enable children to learn about other cultures.
Creatures and Culture is open to the public and admission is free. The Discovery Center is located at 220 S. Fourth St. The entrance to the building and the parking lot are off Third Street.
